Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Full bodied and jammy with layered notes of blueberry, plum, black tea and pepper. Aged 18 months in French oak.
Vineyard Notes
Peter Clark Vineyards is located in Livermore Valley California. The vineyard sits on a gradual slope and receives full sunlight throughout the day resulting in high brix counts at harvest.
Production Notes
The grapes are shipped to Michigan where they are crushed and fermented in small lots and inoculated with different yeast strains to extract the full flavors and tannin structure for which Petite Sirah is so well known. 18 Months French Oak aging.
Winemaker Notes
The Petite Sirah grape is often found in blends along with Syrah and Grenache. However, this wine has beautiful structure and boldly stands on its own.
Food Pairing Notes
Barbequed meats, sauteed mushrooms and onions, savory dishes with exotic spices, Gouda and Taleggio cheeses. Also, sounds strange but pair with chocolate covered oranges you won't regret it.
Other Notes
Picked at 26.8 Brix, pH 3.7, and TA 5.8
