Riesling originated in Rüsselsheim Germany and is one of the most versatile and terroir expressive varietals in the world. Rieslings are made in styles ranging from bone dry to very sweet dessert wines. They are known for their high acidity and minerality. These wines are a culinary delight pairing with an abundance of different foods.

Lemon, apple, orange blossom compliment a slight petrol note and crisp acidity. Portrays a more youthful acidity and slightly less sweet than our 2016 vintage. Yet still delicious.
Spring 2017 had a slow start but a warm October made up for a slow spring, ripening the fruit to perfection.
Fermentation was arrested at 0.7 residual sugar balancing 7g/L of acid.
Rieslings offers high acidity and strongly reflect terroir. Northern Michigan Rieslings reflect the minerality of their glacial erratic soils. These wines become more concentrated and complex with age.
Food Pairing Notes
Spicy foods, Asian-inspired dishes, lobster, scallops, fish, creamy dishes, fruit dishes, and most all cheeses.
The grapes endured heavy yellow jacket pressure but avoided significant damage.
