2020 Good Friend Pinot Meunier

2020 Good Friend Pinot Meunier

Pinot Meunier is a genetic mutation of Pinot Noir. Typically Meunier produces lighter colored and slightly higher acid wines than Noir. Pinot Meunier is primarily known as one of the three main varieties used in the production of Champagne, but it is so much more.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
1.5 acre hand-tended estate vineyard. The vines are maintained to limit high yields to deliver the highest quality fruit. Compost tea and organic weeding practices are also utilized.
Winemaker Notes
Our Meunier is rich in color and is well balanced. The longer and hotter growing season further developed the Meunier's fruit characteristics and aromatics with a medium acidity and moderate to low tannins. The result is a beautiful fruit forward, yet earthy wine with a smooth finish.
Food Pairing Notes
Sauteed duck breast with wild mushrooms, pork tenderloin with cherry sauce, taleggio and gruyere cheeses.
